STNext offers in-session controls for the currently active transcript, which starts recording automatically after log-in:
- Renaming the Current Transcript
- Starting a New Transcript
- Pausing and Resuming Transcript Recording
- Downloading the Current Transcript
Renaming the Current Transcript
To rename your current transcript:
- Mouse-over the transcript bar, and then click the pencil icon next to the current transcript name.
- Enter the new name, and then click the check mark or press Enter.
Starting a New Transcript
To start a new transcript for a session:
- Mouse-over the transcript bar, and then click the Start New button.
- In the Begin New Transcript pop-up:
- Enter the name of new transcript.
- If you want the new transcript to include the session activity since your last log-in, click the Retrospective capture check box.
- Click the Start button or press Enter.
If you attempt to start a new transcript with the same name as the currently active transcript, you will see the following message. You are then provided with the options to overwrite the current transcript with the new transcript or to append/continue the current transcript.
Pausing and Resuming Transcript Recording
In STNext, transcript recording begins automatically after you log-in. The transcript bar displays the current transcript's recording status, TRANSCRIPT ON.
To pause the current session's transcript recording, mouse-over the transcript bar and click the Pause button.
The transcript recording status changes to Transcript PAUSED. To resume transcript recording, mouse-over the transcript bar and click the On button.
Downloading the Current Transcript
To download your current transcript, mouse-over the transcript bar, click the Download icon, and then select the desired file type.
You may also enable the Transcript Download option under Settings. When enabled, this option will prompt you to download the current session’s transcript upon logoff.
